Cool News Coming to Twinsburg – Pelican’s SnoBalls Is on the Way!
One of my favorite parts of being engaged in our community is getting to meet the people who are helping shape its future. Recently, I had the chance to sit down with Stacey, the local franchise owner of Pelican’s SnoBalls, a sweet addition coming to Twinsburg later this summer!
What’s Pelican’s SnoBalls?
If you haven’t heard of Pelican’s yet, you’re in for a treat—literally. The brand was founded in 2001 by 13-year-old Ansley Johnson after a visit to her grandparents in Louisiana. She fell in love with the New Orleans-style snoball: soft, fluffy shaved ice drenched in bold, unique flavors.
Ansley opened her first shop in Garner, North Carolina, and with the support of her family, that single stand has grown into a beloved franchise with locations across the country.
Now, Pelican’s is coming to Twinsburg—and Stacey is bringing the vision to life!
Stacey is passionate about creating a place where families can gather, cool off, and make memories. We talked about the importance of community spaces, local business support, and how Twinsburg is the perfect fit for a family-friendly concept like this.
This is exactly the kind of smart growth I believe in.
When we talk about strengthening our downtown and city-wide development, we’re not just talking about buildings—we’re talking about experiences. Places where people come together, where kids ride their bikes after baseball practice, and where we support local franchisees who believe in our city’s future.
I’m excited to welcome Pelican’s to our community, and I’m even more excited for the possibilities that come when we support small business owners and work toward a vibrant, connected Twinsburg.
Stay tuned for updates as opening day gets closer—and get ready to find your favorite flavor!
