For My Kids and My Community: Why This Father’s Day Means More

There’s no title I hold that means more to me than “Dad.”

Being a father is the highest and greatest honor of my life. It’s the role that teaches me the most, grounds me in what truly matters, and challenges me every day to show up with intention, patience, and heart.

This Father’s Day, I’m feeling especially grateful—not just for the love of my kids, but for the opportunity to lead by example. Earlier this year, I made the decision to run for an At-Large seat on Twinsburg City Council. I want my children to grow up in a city that values families, supports local businesses, creates vibrant public spaces, and welcomes all ideas at the table. I want them to know that leadership is about listening, showing up, and working together for something greater than yourself.

Running for Council is more than a campaign—it’s a commitment to making our city better, not just for today, but for the generation coming up behind us. And I couldn’t do any of this without Breanne—my wife, my biggest supporter, and the one who keeps all the wheels turning. Whether it’s showing up at events or helping me process the big ideas, she’s been there every step of the way. This journey is a family effort, and I’m so proud of the team we’ve built—at home and out in the community.

To all the dads out there who are doing their best, showing up for their families, and trying to lead with heart—Happy Father’s Day. May we raise kind, thoughtful, and engaged children who love their community and know their voice matters.
